Free Music Class for Kids: Join Rockness Music’s December Demo Week
December is a busy time of year for families—holiday energy, school events, and everyday life all competing for space. That’s why we’re inviting families to join Rockness Music for a free music class for kids during our December Demo Week, making it easy to try a class without adding stress to your schedule.
These free trials give your child a joyful space to explore music, movement, and rhythm at a time when a little fun and connection goes a long way. Parents are often amazed at how quickly their little ones warm up. In fact, one minute they’re observing quietly, and the next they’re drumming, dancing, shaking instruments, and smiling from ear to ear.
According to the Harvard Center on the Developing Child, the brain connections formed early in life become the strong—or weak—foundation for everything that follows. Music classes give children the perfect mix of playful engagement and learning to help build that strong foundation.

What Makes a Rockness Music Class So Engaging?
Hands-On Drumming for Toddlers and Preschoolers
Every child gets their own drum and drumsticks, giving them a chance to explore rhythm safely and confidently in a real hands-on toddler music class setting. This simple setup builds coordination, and encourages participation. In addition, even shy little ones instantly feel like they’re part of the band.
Mystery Discovery Instruments
Each class includes a surprise instrument—maybe a kalimba, guiro, or something completely new—which keeps our kids music class exciting and full of wonder. Children love guessing what’s hidden inside the bag, and the reveal always sparks curiosity, creativity, and lots of big smiles.
Shakers, Dancing, and Our Famous Hungry Bags
Movement fills every class! We encourage participation with shakers, scarves, dancing, dramatic play, and hands-on exploration. Even clean-up becomes part of the fun thanks to our silly “Hungry Bags,” which kids happily race to feed as the music winds down.
Clearly, our curriculum supports early childhood development in a playful way.
A Quick Note on Screen Time (Parent to Parent)
We like to save this part for last, because parents hear it everywhere—but it’s worth saying: if you come to one of our demo classes, you’re genuinely doing the right thing for your child.
We all know that screen time can be a little tricky to manage when raising kids in today’s environment, and it helps to have real, joyful experiences that pull them into the moment. Music gives them something interactive, playful, and imaginative to focus on. More importantly, it gives you a break from negotiating screens for a little while.
If you want a deeper look at how screen time affects early childhood development, we wrote a full post about it.
