We are early childhood music specialists! Rockness Music teaches more than songs. Enhance your program with our musical enrichment classes for preschoolers. We combine music and movement with preschool Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEAM) to target integral areas of development for the young child. The children work together as they learn to sight read, drum, and prepare for a live choral concert.

Through our kid’s music classes, we make it easier for program directors to use music as a means of enrichment. In our first decade, Rockness impacted the lives of more than 500,000 children in private classes and schools through enrichment classes with an award-winning curriculum aligned to various learning standards. We offer 40 weeks of original lesson plans. Our curriculum and the duration of the program is tailored to fit your institution. The school receives an advance copy of each session’s outlined curriculum. This offers an opportunity for parents to extend the lessons and activities into the home.
Rockness Music offers our partner schools the support and curricula needed to supply high-quality education for their students. We align our curriculum to directly support their requirements for accreditation and core standards.
Subtle & Gentle Delivery (Recommended 10-15 minutes)
In our music enrichment classes we use various songs and instruments to peak the babies musical interest while offering a calm, soothing, and comfortable atmosphere. The infants enjoy the session mostly with their eyes and ears.

As our infants grow to babies they become more comfortable with new sounds and songs. As they develop stronger motor skills we introduce hand percussion, shakers, and other props that stimulate their senses.

Fully Engaging – Hands On (Recommended 30 minutes.)
In our enrichment classes for toddlers we introduce various activities that were unavailable to them as babies. We engage active toddlers with hands on activities using shakers, drums and unique instrument show and tell. We encourage verbal exploration, self expression and creative movement. Our academic goals are music participation, appreciation, language building and STEM learning.

Investigation and Performance (Recommended 30 minutes.)
In our enrichment classes for preschoolers we continue our discovery through imagination, pretend play and creative expression. We begin to ask scientific questions about music and instruments. Our academic goals are STEM learning, choral singing, basic sight reading, performance and language building. During the school year in January and May the children perform in a choral setting followed by a complimentary Preschool of Rock concert (optional).

Investigation and Performance (Recommended 30 minutes.)
Our activities in our kindergarten music lessons, preschool music class, and music classes for toddlers include extensive drumming, pattern study, songwriting, instrument discovery and more. We continue our scientific exploration of instruments and music. We begin more complex studies of sight reading, ear training, applying sight reading in performance and songwriting. During the school year in January and May the children perform in a choral setting followed by a complimentary Rockness Music concert (optional).
